From today, 18th November 2025, identity verification is a new legal requirement for anyone involved in running or filing on behalf of a company, specifically directors, PSCs, and LLPs.
Visit Verifying your identity for Companies House – GOV.UK for further details.
Under the updated rules, even if we have verified your ID in the past, you will need to complete this new process of ID verification.
As an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP), we will be doing this for you for a flat fee of £75 per company, unless you tell us otherwise. We will be collecting new copies of your ID documents and using a DPA and GDPR compliant AML software to assist us with this process, for which we will require your approval.
If you would prefer to verify your own identity using the ‘Verify your identity for Companies House’ service, GOV.UK One Login will guide you through the steps to complete the identity check.
If you have already verified your identity, or will be doing so, you will be provided with a unique code upon completion. Every director or PSC will receive this. If this has been misplaced, you can find it within your Companies House account. You must provide us with your Companies House unique code as soon as possible and before your next confirmation statement is due. Without it, we will not be able to submit your annual confirmation statement filing.
Please be aware that the Companies House confirmation statement digital filing fee is increasing to £50 from 1 February 2026.
